This position is part of our Application Specialist team within the Customer Service department.
As the Press Brake Technical Specialist (Application Specialist) at Mate Precision Technologies, you will guide our customers to select the right Press Brake tooling solution to successfully bend their sheet metal fabrications.
You will be the Press Brake bending expert our customers rely on to achieve success and maximize their productivity.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities Advise customers on the best bend techniques to use to accomplish their goals Collaborate with our customers to understand their fabricating applications Recommend Press Brake tooling solutions to ensure our customer success Create engineering concept CAD drawings and solid models to demonstrate recommended solutions Prepare formal quotations using our business systems Partner with our Sales team to help them win the sale Requirements:
A thorough understanding of material types and forming theory Practical experience of sheet metal best practices in bend sequences A thorough understanding of Press Brake set up and operation Strong spatial aptitude, and skill at visualizing in two and three dimensions Competence with the math associated with force, tolerances, and inch/metric conversions Strong collaborative mindset paired with a can do attitude High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 4 years of sheet metal experience Skill in 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar Competence with email, and MS Word etc.
Proficiency in oral and written English A thorough understanding of Turret Tooling - Preferred Fluent in Foreign Language - Preferred Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
