Job Summary This position will be primarily in office with occasional Telework Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Learning and Development (L&D) Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Training and Development Specialist 2! This position will create and deliver learner-centered, performance-based training by designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development activities and programs for all of DCT with a special emphasis on orientation.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordinate new employee orientation training activities for assigned program accounts.
Participate in L&D activities that result in design, delivery, and/or evaluation of effective learning and development programs and materials for DCT.
Assist others in the coordination and implementation of L&D activities and programs to assure that activities and programs operate efficiently and effectively in assigned areas.

Annual pay increases Tuition reimbursement for courses related to the work of DHS Student loan reimbursement for eligible positions Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One (1) year professional experience OR Three (3) years advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in instructional design or delivering training to adult learners that demonstrates the experience listed below.
OR Bachelor's degree in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related field AND Two (2) years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in instructional design or delivering training to adult learners that demonstrates the experience listed below.
OR Master's degree in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related field.
Experience must demonstrate:
Designing, developing, and coordinating training programs and learning and development activities Training and experience in the use of needs assessment, training methods, adult learning, training evaluation and measurement Experience with learning management or other similar tracking and reporting software Preferred Qualifications Experience working with people experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, intellectual disabilities, or traumatic brain injuries.
Prior experience as an EASE or self-defense instructor.
