Utility Truck Services (UTS), a subsidiary of Connexus Energy, is a rapidly expanding utility service company providing fleet services to both internal and external customers. Utility Truck Services specializes in the maintenance of aerial lift trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles.
We have an opening on second shift (Monday-Thursday, 2:00 p.m. midnight) for an experienced mechanic. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs in a safe, efficient, quality-minded and customer-focused manner on a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. Key job duties will include:
A. Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency repair
including diagnosing cause, repairing, and performing final operational tests
B. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
C. Inspect, maintain and repair aerial lift equipment
D. Perform maintenance and repair welding on equipment, fabricating parts as required
E. Ensures all work is performed in a safe, efficient, quality-minded and customer-focused manner
Qualifications
High School or General Equivalency Diploma
Heavy Duty technical training or 2 years related experience
Current and valid Commercial Drivers License
D.O.T. Inspector Certification
Valid health card
Excellent time management / organization skills / ability to follow paper-flow procedures
Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise
2-5 years construction power operated equipment repair experience
2-5 years insulated aerial equipment repair experience
Knowledge of hydraulics and ANSI A92.2 guidelines
Knowledge of hydraulic and electronic schematics
Knowledge of engines, transmissions and controls
Knowledge of brakes and suspensions
Knowledge of various vehicles and equipment such as backhoes and trenchers
Knowledge of diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on trucks and equipment
Skilled in welding, fabrication and cutting
Knowledge of and able to perform D.O.T. inspections
Knowledge of OSHA regulations relative to automotive repair shop
Other Information
This individual will work primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors. This will be primarily a second shift position but the successful candidate must be flexible with schedule changes.
