Overview:
MacLellan Integrated Services provides critical process cleaning, maintenance and support services to automotive and industrial manufacturers nationwide.
The Group Leader is the first-line supervisory position in our organization. This role leads a critical process cleaning crew in an industrial manufacturing plant, interacts with the customer and effectively manages and develops their team to successfully fulfill the site contract. The Group Leader is exposed to management of people, process, and product at the most fundamental levels, and learns first hand how to manage in a fast paced, JIT, safety focused environment. This role is a gateway to other management opportunities for the site, region, and company as a whole.

Job Description:
The Group Leader is responsible for the safety, quality, service delivery and labor efficiency of their assigned shift. This involves maintaining a safe work environment, directing teams to complete the assigned work, maintaining labor efficiency targets, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and completing all assigned tasks. The Group Leader interacts directly with customer contacts involved in maintenance and production at a variety of levels. Building and sustaining these relationships with key customer contacts is critical, and requires flexibility to accommodate frequently changing customer demands. The Group Leader is a coach and mentor that interacts daily with their team to deliver core value messages, direct specific activities to be accomplished, develop and improve their teams performance, promote employee contributions to safety and continuously improve operations.
Specific Duties &
Responsibilities:
Monitor key metrics to evaluate and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly performance of the assigned team.
Interact with key customer contacts on a daily basis, and continuously build and maintain customer relationships.
Maintain the LOTO board, weekly safety book data, and monitor site safety and quality systems and report all quality and safety metrics to the site Contract Manager
Train Team Leaders and Members in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and industrial cleaning tasks including pre-treatment, paint & powder coating, and powder curing systems.
Maintain site ISO requirements in industrial cleaning quality systems, quality check sheets, quality 5-S standards, and ISO filing standards and consistently maintain high quality standards at all points of service.
Lead safety initiatives including pre-shift meetings, safety training, safety inspections, safety continuous improvement, and enforce site safety policy.
Hold team members accountable for established quality and safety performance expectations.
Provide Contract Manager with regular updates on activity status and customer interaction.
SHIFT SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION IS MON, WED, FRI, SAT & SUN.

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2 years of related supervisory experience in industrial cleaning or customer service in a high volume, mixed process manufacturing/industrial environment.
Must have experience with and demonstrated knowledge of TPS/Kaizen/continuous improvement processes and 6-Sigma management principles.
Must have a background or knowledge of industrial powder coating, paint and/or pre-treatment systems and demonstrate knowledge of correct terminology.
Experience in industrial process cleaning is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or a 2 year technical degree from a certified trade school, technical college or an accredited maintenance apprenticeship program in an industrial field and a combination of directly related supervisory experience.
Continuing education in a relevant technical discipline.
5S training, formalized training in problem solving, or OSHA certification are all highly desirable.
Skills:
Must be computer literate and demonstrate strong proficiency using MS Office.
Must demonstrate exceptional communications skills and the ability to present to customers, team members, and managers.
Extremely strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with peers, management, subordinates and team members to positively impact performance.
Must be driven by a strong customer focus with the ability to drive process improvement and encourage excellence.
Must have demonstrated ability to conduct safety and quality investigations and thoroughly complete all documentation.
