Responsibilities:
Be an innovator - Research new material solutions
Collaborate with design team
Create new product through development / application of metallic & nonmetallic material solutions
Manage project team(s) as required. New materials / new products
Work with external vendors / industry partners
NPD Testing - ASTM/SAE
Mechanical Design - Analysis of Kinematics - Strain Rates - Material Properties - Structural Analysis
Tooling design
Polymeric creep / stress / relaxation properties
Metal Injection Molding (MIM)
Knowledge of Adhesives
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field (Polymer - Aerospace - Mechanical - Metallurgical)
Minimum of 7 years hands on experience
Masters in Mechanics of Materials or related field a plus
3D solid modeling a plus
Thorough understanding of computational tools related to materials behavior
Demonstrated practical application of computational tool results
Project Management
Drawn material processes
Application Based Experience
Manufacturing Experience required
Our client is involved in a very high volume small part manufacturing process. They are the king of the industry with lots of opportunity for a gifted person. This position will have freedom of movementvery little red tape within the organization. The organization is full of people who enjoy the outdoors and outdoor activity. This is a newly created position with a commodity based product.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
